It was designed in neo-Gothic style by a prominent architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel and built from 1829 until 1832. It houses the Town Council, Registry Office, the Gallery of Modern Art, and the Museum Patria Colbergiensis in the basement. The town hall tower features the old coat of arms Kołobrzeg.
